Flores Island lies in the heart of Indonesia's Lesser Sunda Islands, nestled between the islands of Sumbawa, Komodo on its west, and Lembata and the Alor Archipelago to its east. To its southeast lies Timor. With a mountainous terrain dominating its landscape, Flores is neighbored by a cluster of smaller islands, with the famous Komodo islands marking its western border. Despite its scenic beauty, some parts of Flores Island grapple with developmental challenges. One of the most pressing issues in these areas is the lack of suitable housing for its inhabitants.
In response to this pressing need, Etex Building Performance Indonesia has partnered with the local NGO, Yayasan Tukelakang Entete. Together, they have embarked on an ambitious project to construct 52 homes in the underprivileged region of Larantuka on Flores Island, NTT, Indonesia.
